AWARDS
At the Hunter Valley Wine Show in 2016, Dimbulla Estate was awarded the prestigious Doug Seabrook Memorial Trophy for the best red wine of the show. The winning entry was their 2014 Tempranillo Shiraz.
This was a thrilling moment for the estate owner, Mr. Dilip Kumar, and his team. It was the first time that a non-dominant Shiraz had won the top prize. This blend of the traditional Hunter Valley Shiraz and the newcomer Tempranillo heralds changing methods of wine blending as climate change influences what varieties are introduced into older wine growing regions and determines the varying harvest times.
Dimbulla Estate wines have won other awards at many Wine Shows over time – proof of the quality of products.
